Dit Da Jows

Dit da jow were "secret formulas" passed down by familial healing lineages and Shaolin martial arts practitioner (mainly Buddhist monks). The elusive formulas were shared with our founder, Dr. Browne, during her doctoral program by visiting Chinese healing masters. Dit da jow aids the healing of injuries such as bruises and sprains by stimulate circulation of Qi and Blood. They reduce pain and swelling and quicken the healing of injuries and strains. When one suffers a trauma-type injury, Qi is blocked in the acupuncture channels causing Blood Stasis resulting in pain and swelling. Dit da jow, like acupuncture and acupressure, opens this blockage allowing Qi and Blood to flow freely and the injury to heal correctly.

Making dit da jow is a laborious, time-consuming effort that takes months to complete. Centuries ago, dit da jow was made by combining herbs in a clay vessel with rice wine and then burying the vessel for an extended period. Today, we have the benefit of glass production vessels and indoor temperature control and we do not need to bury the remedies (whew!). Additionally we now have pure condensed essential oils that produce more effective remedies than the infused herbs alone used centuries ago.
